The most important contribution made by the early Phoenicians was the alphabet. On page 97, paragraph two it states ” The Phoenicians found a solution: an alphabet. This new system of writing used combinations of the same letters to represent different sounds. The Phoenicians needed a communal way of communicating, and the best way to start would be an alphabet. They would need an alphabet to communicate and support their trading routes and goods with the countries. All in all the alphabet is the greatest contribution because we could not speak without the alphabet.
